The pump start relay is an electrical device that allows you to communicate with your irrigation timer pump. The pumps are designed to use normal household currents. For example, the relay irrigation timer converts to normal household voltage. It should be placed at least 4.5 meters from the timer and pump to avoid electrical interference that could cause a malfunction.

Different wire can be used to connect the Pump Start Relay to the controller. Refer to the Wire Size Chart below for wire size and maximum lengths.
