Solar Heating

Introduction

The Solar Dome is an excellent and economical form of pool water heating. Swimming doesn’t have to end just because summer is over. This cost-effective, environmentally-friendly pool heater operates by connecting between the filter pump and pool return valve. It is compatible with most above-ground pools on the market and includes 4-foot hoses, fittings, and stainless steel clamps for a stress-free set-up. Please note that the heating efficiency of the Solar Dome is directly related to climate conditions of installed location, you may install this with an additional heat source.

The Solar Dome (or KEOPS) reduces your pool’s heating costs and comes with an integrated rack that helps set up the heater at the optimal angle to maximize sun exposure. For larger pools, connect multiple KEOPS units through bypass kit (sold separately) to generate extra heating power.

Working Principle

When water is passing through the collector panels, the panels should feel cool. This is a good way to tell if the water is being heated properly. Returning water should be a few degrees warmer than the water in the rest of your pool. Heating the pool a little bit at a time like this is a very efficient way to do it, although it can take some time for the overall temperature to rise.
